About Transhumanists Africa
Transhumanists Africa (TA), Inc., is a transnational non-profit network, think-tank and movement of transhumanists in Africa and across the worldwide African Diaspora actively promoting transhumanism on the continent and globally.
TA is founded with the aim of enlightenment and promotion of transhumanist thought and consciousness, as well as fostering a sense of community and belonging among transhumanists across the African world. Members are inspired to grow in and promote transhumanism as a philosophy, scientific worldview, culture, and a life stance.
TA encourages research, discussions, debates, knowledge gathering and information exchange, innovations, events, socialization, and advocacy geared towards the ethical adaptation of emerging technologies and lifestyles that portray paths towards a transhuman/posthuman future.
The network invites and welcomes transhumanist thinkers, tinkerers, entrepreneurs and change-makers of all shades to explore issues, and discover and cultivate a robust transhumanist community and civilization worldwide through the responsible use of science and technological ingenuity, education and interdisciplinary knowledge, reason, logic and critical thinking, pragmatism, artistic and creative imagination, enterprise culture, and sound ethical principles.

Mission and Goals
The broad objective of the Transhumanists Africa group is the deployment of certain emerging and converging technologies alongside the dissemination of transhumanist ideas towards achieving a significant transformation of Africa and African peoples into global engagement in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and a forthcoming transhumanist civilization.

- To create a community and space for transhumanists across Africa and in the African Diaspora to network and share information and ideas.
- To encourage the growth of technological culture in Africa and among African peoples worldwide, especially of a broad range of emerging, radical and sophisticated technologies.
- To promote ethical principles and proactionary methods of adoption of new and emerging technologies in Africa and ways of utilizing them for African capacity-building and development.
- To advocate the moral rights and freedoms of individuals who so wish to use technology to extend their mental and physical capacities and lifespans, and to improve their control over their own lives.
- To engage in and support enterprise culture for the devising and growth of indigenous transhumanist technological innovations and ventures as both unique responses to local challenges and approaches to economic transformations in Africa and among African peoples worldwide.
- To connect Enlightenment values and African Renaissance, Afropolitanism, and Afro-/Africanfuturism with transhumanist thought and action for the enhancement of individual lives and a new cultural-scientific revolution in the African world.
