Transhumanists Africa, TA is a nonprofit membership organization of African Transhumanists thinkers and advocates that believe in the transformative power of human creativity. Our focus is on the Future and the role of Frontier technology, particularly, technologies that enhance human capabilities, from eyeglasses to hearing aids to genetic engineering.
We are organizing a Festival of Artificial Intelligence created Films from Africans at home and in the Diaspora, “African Visions of African Futures”. Our Theme: How will Frontier technologies impact the development of Africa over the next 50 years.
As the Continent’s inaugural event of its kind, we are excited to promote AI Filmmaking to a broad African audience of filmmakers, scientists, thinkers and entrepreneurs, making creative outcomes available to people not otherwise involved in the creative industries. We are also excited to introduce Africans to the Frontier technologies that are and will expand human capabilities in revolutionary ways. The rapid development of AI tools is democratizing the processes of engaging these technologies and inspiring broad based social engagement.
